The Parish Council is very pleased to advise that the above planning application has been withdrawn by the applicant. We would like to thank, once again, all those who have contributed to our robust defence of our village. However, we are under no illusion that this is the last we have heard regarding that piece of land and must remain ready to respond accordingly.

Walkern Playground Book Box – is Open!

We wanted everyone to know about the community book box in Walkern playground! This little library is open to all—children and adults alike—to borrow, swap, or simply enjoy a good read while visiting the park or to take away.

We warmly welcome appropriate book donations to help keep the box stocked with engaging and family-friendly titles. If you have books in good condition that others might enjoy, feel free to pop them in!
