High Street playground set for a major upgrade
Exciting changes are coming to the High Street playground! Thanks to funding secured through the Wallace Green Way development, a complete revamp will begin on 16th June, lasting approximately four to five weeks.
The upgrade, led by playground specialists HAGS, includes:
- Inclusive swings replacing the old set
- A ground-level trampoline for added fun
- New seesaw and climbing frames
- A mini Jeep on springs for imaginative play
- A sensory area under the trees
- A challenging activity trail with balance bars and climbing nets
- A multi-activity unit for toddlers
- Refurbished large slide and relocated benches
While the playground will be closed during construction, efforts are being made to minimise disruption to summer holiday plans.
The Parish Council extends special thanks to Councillor Chris Nudds for spearheading this transformation. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to a fresh, engaging space for all to enjoy!
