Walkern Allottments
The committee is very pleased that many people are enjoying the allotment experience. All the allotment plots are taken together with a waiting list for people to join. A new committee was elected in 2019 consisting of three members.
Last November a good team of plot holders helped with clearing of the site and after a very busy day all enjoyed a BBQ with some mulled wine to wash it all down. Everyone is very friendly and helpful to each other together with offering advice. It is also a beautiful place together with being peaceful to prepare, plant and watch your produce grow and then enjoy the fruits of your labour. It’s quite amazing watching a seed grow into a fully formed vegetable and very satisfying!
